Do you allow yourself to daydream about things that can never be?

it’s really futile, but does it do any harm??

i do it all the time but who knows somethings might happen, but if it does you gotta make it happen. it shouldn’t do no harm as long as your not daydreaming during important events or driving

Yes i do, but it does do some harm, specially when its about love. You keep dreaming and wanting something to happen and then you realize its never gonna happen, it makes you feel so frustrated, and you can even get depressed just because of that !
So even if it feels good, try to stop and move on, forget about it, because everytime you daydream about it, it becomes harder and harder to finally forget it and move on.

I do it a lot. Its good and bad I mean its good because its fun to think of things that can’t be and hoping they can be. Like being married to Robert Pattinson or being the richest person in the world. It can also be bad because if you think about them you can start to depress your self with the “what ifs”.

I used to, but I don’t daydream as much anymore. I’m too busy trying to get things done and mostly keeping my head above water. It’s a real struggle right now, the worst one I’ve ever been through, financially speaking. I’ve also got two kids who are in college (one is on a break) and both of them are looking for part-time jobs right now. I have a soon-to-be-ex-husband who has been secretive and stingy with money the past 6 years and no longer contributes anything to keep the household going. When he leaves, I will probably be left with 2 months of unpaid utility bills and property taxes due.
That is why I don’t allow myself to daydream right now. There is nothing wrong with daydreaming, though, in my opinion, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the reality of your life in a negative way,
Daydreaming might help you to cope with things and decide what it is you really want out of life. Maybe it leads some of us to question why it is we think we don’t deserve happiness, and then take the steps to actively seek that out for ourselves. Anyway, I don’t think it is destructive unless you fail to come back to reality because when you do, it might look like a tornado or hurricane went through. = /
